We purchased Billy Boi Blue as a three-year-old store at the Goffs July Sale for £21,000 and BDR felt at the time that he represented excellent business for the syndicate, being a well-bred horse with plenty of potential for the future.

Billy Boi Blue needed time to mature, which made his performance at Huntingdon on Bank Holiday Monday all the more impressive. He produced a superb second-place finish in a strong National Hunt Flat race.

The race featured some solid form lines and BBB was then put away for the summer with the aim of returning in mid-September for another bumper run.

A really exciting prospect for the future.

Billy Boi Blue has continued to progress superbly and is now a winner of a bumper and three hurdle races.

One of his standout victories came at the Scottish National Meeting, where he won impressively in front of a huge crowd. He has been a fantastic horse for connections, winning almost £30,000 in prize money.
